Chihiro meets Cambodia
Ms.Chihiro, CEO of krukhmer botanical, visited Cambodia for the first time in 2004 from Japan.
She was shocked by the Cambodian people who lived happily. And always presentlively smiles and a warm welcome regardless of the poverty. This blissful attitude drew her to continue to visit Cambodia repeatedly.

She determined that I would create a company in this region, working with Fair Trade, to produce something that would convey the culture of Cambodia.
The idea of our first product "Herbal Bath Tea", she encountered by accident. Taking a steam sauna using medicinal herbs called ‘Chu Pong’ provided the inspiration for this. The skin is totally cleansed and the fragrance of the herbs has great healing qualities.
She started to develop a new product based on "Chu Pong", and decided to start business based on the idea and the product. The very first product "Herbal bath tea " is still one of our most popular products today.

She established Krukhmer Botanical Co., Ltd in the summer of 2009 from the inception of "Chu Pong" in Cambodia, finally.
Next step is the recruiting. She tried to hire some staff from some villages in countryside to produce items.
She and four staff started working together in Siem Reap.
open flagship store
At the beginning, we sell our products as wholesale. We faced many troubles such as contamination, lack of materials, etc... Ms.Chihiro almost lost confidence.
But a woman said"Why don't you have your own store? It would be great if there is a place that everyone can reach out your idea and products always." to her. And she decided to open our store in Siem Reap to reach out many tourists from many countries.
Finally, we opened a flagship store in old market at the center of Siem Reap, Cambodia in 2012.
open SPA KHMER
The flag ship store works well to our business, and our business keeps expanding based on the store.
Therefore, we started the new project to open a SPA for spreading the wonders of traditional Khmer medical herbs.
Our spa's concept is "modern x traditional",and "nature x artificial". We discuss with upcoming Cambodian architector to build a place to be relaxed escaped from the bustle of Siem Reap. And, Japanese professional therapist joined our project to create menu, and training for young girls from villages in countriside.
Then, finally we opened "SPA KHMER"spa in 2015 after two years training and constructions.
